This article will briefly discuss sleep-wake disorders in general with a focus on addressing the sleep disturbances that are most common in military members and veterans, describe the importance of a thorough assessment of sleep disturbances, and provide a brief overview of the effective treatments currently available for these most common sleep problems in the military population.
