Suicide: Detection, Clinical Intervention and Risk Management (Archived)
David A. Jobes, PhD, ABPP, discusses the sub-specialization of “clinical suicidology” with considerations of ethical and risk management issues pertaining to this topic. There is consideration of evidence-based assessments of suicidal risk as well as evidence-based clinical interventions for suicidal risk. Providers will learn about how to competently work with suicidal patients while decreasing the risk of malpractice liability through sound clinical practices.
