Anka A. Vujanovic, PhD

First responders, including police officers, firefighters, and emergency medical service personnel, represent an at-risk population with regard to psychological symptoms and disorders as well as various mental health outcomes, more broadly. Despite increasing recognition of the importance of better understanding the mental health of first responders in recent years, this population remains relatively underserved and understudied. This webinar will describe prevalent psychological symptoms and mental health issues among first responders and define unique clinical considerations impacting the mental health of this unique and vulnerable population. Finally, the webinar will elucidate future research directions to improve first responder mental health.
