Live Webinar Presented by the Coalition of Psychology Practice Organizations
Description
A brief history of milestones that have shaped the current U.S. healthcare systems will be presented for context. Details, opportunities and potential limitations of specific payer systems likely to impact business-of-practice decisions for psychologists in independent practice will be identified. Beyond reimbursement, the underlying and essential influence of values, ethics, and competence will be emphasized. Resources to inform pricing of services, and models to estimate practice income, will be presented that take into account payer systems, services to provide, and desired and planned populations the psychologist seeks to serve.
