Andrew Heck, PsyD, ABPP

Dr. Andrew Heck is a clinical geropsychologist and Founder/President of GeroPartners, a geriatric mental health and care management practice in Richmond, Virginia. He holds ABPP certifications in Clinical Psychology (2005) and Geropsychology (2014, founding member) and has held multiple clinical faculty positions at Virginia Commonwealth University. He spent many years at Piedmont Geriatric Hospital in clinical and administrative roles prior to founding GeroPartners in 2015 and has served in leadership roles for various national geropsychology associations (Council of Professional Geropsychology Training Programs [CoPGTP], American Board of Geropsychology [ABGERO]). Throughout his career, Dr. Heck has been active in providing assessment and therapy services, policy development, supervision and training, teaching and organizational administration in a variety of settings, including academic, private practice, long-term care facility, and academic settings. His particular areas of interest include cognitive assessment, individual and caregiver therapy, service delivery systems, interdisciplinary consultation, and ethics in geriatric mental health.
